SERGEANT STAR TO REACH AUDIENCES ACROSS MULTIPLE CHANNELS

Next IT to boost the accessibility of GoArmy.com’s Virtual Guide through SMS Text Messaging, mobile Web, and social media sites.

SPOKANE, Wash. (February 2, 2010) - Next IT Corporation and GoArmy.com are developing enhancements to Sergeant STAR to support an integrated user engagement strategy, by extending the site's Virtual Guide into additional communication channels.

Sergeant STAR will be able to send and receive text messages, allowing potential recruits to engage in a conversation or ask questions about Army life while away from a computer. Next IT will also create a Sergeant STAR interface for mobile Web users, enabling users to interact with Sergeant STAR like they currently do on a computer via a mobile Web browser. Additionally, Sergeant STAR will have the ability to interact with potential recruits and answer questions within his Facebook page.

In addition to expanding Sergeant STAR's capabilities across multiple channels, Next IT and GoArmy.com plan to create a fully animated version of Sergeant STAR for GoArmy.com utilizing state-of-the-art animation techniques.

"We are excited about enhancing Sergeant STAR in a way that will continue to engage potential recruits and raise the bar for Virtual Expert technology," said Founder and CEO of Next IT, Fred Brown. "With the popularity and ease of mobile browsing and texting, fewer people are sitting in front of a computer. By increasing Sergeant STAR's accessibility, potential recruits will still be able to get the information they want, only now they will be able to do it whenever and wherever they want."

Sergeant STAR has been successfully engaging potential U.S. Army recruits as a Virtual Guide to Army life for over three years. Since implementing Next IT's Human Emulation Software, ActiveAgent™, on GoArmy.com Sergeant STAR has answered over 4 million questions. The U.S. Army and Next IT continue to explore deeper ways to utilize Sergeant STAR and Next IT's technology across more of the U.S. Army's recruiting and communications strategy, including a contract recently awarded to Next IT to implement an ActiveAgent Virtual Expert for the U.S. Army's Recruiter's Workstation.
